Here you will find a wide selection of links to some of my favourite resources; food blogs, fat activists, resources for Mindful Eating and training providers as well as some local resources.
Green Kitchen Stories – I have followed this blog for many years now, mostly for the amazing photos! A great variety of recipes too.
My New Roots – Another blog that I have followed for a long time. Sarah cooks extravagant plant based dishes.
My Darling Lemon Thyme – I came across Emma’s website when I was looking for ways I wanted my own food blog to look like. I since bought both her cook books and they are my most used ones ever!
101 Cook Books – Heidi’s blog has been around for decades, and rightly so! She shares both creative and more simple recipes. All vegetarian.
The College of Naturopathic Medicine (CNM) – Ireland’s most established Nutritional Therapy training provider.
The Center for Mindful Eating – The world leader on Mindful Eating education. I’m currently one of several board members.
Deanna Minich – One of my teachers and mentors whom I have trained extensively with. She is the author of several books and have a good podcast + well researched articles.
Nutritional Therapists of Ireland (NTOI) – The professional body representing Nutritional Therapists in Ireland.
Association for Size Diversity And Health (ASDAH) – A non-profit organization with an international membership committed to the practice of the Health At Every Size® (HAES®) Principles. ASDAH also owns the trademark of HAES.
Positive Nutrition Podcast – A podcast with Paige Smathers RD covering a range of weight neutral and nutrition topics with guests.
Real Health Radio with Chris Sandel – This podcast dives deep in to a myriad of topics related to weight, nutrition and health. Highly recommended!
Food Psych with Christy Harrison – A podcast about intuitive eating, Health at Every Size, and body liberation.
On Being with Krista Tippett – My personal favourite podcast for conversations that dive deep into our human experience. Very diverse with spirituality and humanity at the forefront.
Fat Activism / Mindful Eating / HAES etc.
Dances with Fat – An excellent Fat Activist blog by one of the leading women in this space, Ragen Chastain. There are many ways to enjoy our bodies, and Ragen offers up an opportunity to view health beyond the narrative of Health = Thinness.
Virgie Tovar – An author, activist and a leading expert and lecturer on fat discrimination and body image.
The Mindful Dietitian – Fiona is a dear friend and collaborator, who besides offering online trainings for professionals also has a great podcast and other useful resources on her website.
Tracy Brown RD – Tracy is another one of my mentors who offers great resources both for the individual who is struggling with eating issues, as well as for professionals who want to dive deeper into these topics.
