SE1 – Ep2: Moving from the head, to the body, to the heart as a healing practice with Louise George

by | Oct 18, 2023 | Podcast, Uncategorized | 0 comments

In this week’s Joyful Nourishment Podcast episode myself and Louise talk about her own journey of recovery, how she got into counselling and subsequently also became a yoga teacher.

Louise is a wealth of wisdom, with a great big heart and in this interview, she shares with us all how it is possible to move from just living in the head, with anxiety and having a feeling of simply dragging her body along to a place of feeling embodies.

We talk about embodiment and how it relates to a felt sense of safety and what this have to do with how we relate to food and eating.

Louise also shares with me what Joyful Nourishment means to her.

“Louise is a Humanistic Integrative Counsellor, Senior yoga teacher and certified mobility specialist.

Louise utilises a holistic approach to dealing with a variety of physical and emotional issues, and is particularly interested in combining tools from yoga into therapy sessions as a means of improving nervous system regulation.

Louise offers group yoga classes and one to one yoga sessions, as well as individual therapy sessions and workshops.

Louise’s specialist area of interest for therapy is eating disorders and she has over 20 years of experience working in this field.

Hey there, I´m Linn

This is my little corner of the internet where I share things related to our complex relationship with food, eating and our bodies.

I believe that eating ought to be nourishing and joyful instead of filled with fear, guilt and shame.

Your body, and all of you, is worthy of care and  food or eating should never need to be earned or justified.
