This solo podcast episode is on the topic of making peace with food, through the practice of giving yourself unconditional permission to eat ALL foods.
I am calling it a practice because it is something we often need to intentionally do for awhile before it becomes second nature. This is something that can be, and often are, pivotal to anyone healing from disordered eating and repairing their relationship with food, eating and their bodies.
For me personally, letting go of any arbitrary food rules and working my way out of the internalised food morality and guilt has been very freeing.
In this episode I share about:
– What we actually mean when we are taking about the idea and practice of giving yourself unconditional permission to eat ALL foods.
– We look at some of the barriers to making that happen and places where you might get stuck along the way.
I believe that this practice is one of the most fundamental to engage in, especially if you are trying to heal from binge eating. But it is not always easy and it can take time to move away from a place of restrictive eating towards ‘normal eating’.
